Welcome to Sand Castle! This impeccable 5BD/4.5 BA beach retreat can accommodate up to 12 guests and offers plenty of space for gatherings. This home has been well-maintained, updated, and stylishly decorated! Sand Castle includes three living areas. A sitting area to enjoy your company, a family room open to the kitchen with plush leather reclining couches, a 49" Roku HDTV with Xfinity, and an upstairs giant media/sports center complete with an 80" HDTV, a rotating game table for playing air hockey or pool and a basketball arcade game. 

A few blocks from the ocean and only four doors from Center Street, where most of the Island's restaurants and shops are located, this home's location is ideal! Additionally, it is only three doors down from the Lost Dog Cafe – the most popular place on Folly Beach to gather with locals and visitors for breakfast or lunch. There is also a gas station/convenience store located just a short walk away on Center Street downtown. 

Pool, "Beach" and Games
The large saltwater pool will be the highlight of your stay (a walk-in shower and commode are nearby). The beautiful pool is adjacent to your private beach with white sand, a veranda, and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs where you can enjoy playing volleyball, badminton, cornhole, a ladder toss game, and Bocce Ball (all game sets are provided). Also, there is a ping pong table and a magnetic dart board game in the enclosed area under the house!
The pool can be heated upon request for an additional fee of $40.00/day (added to your reservation after you place the booking). If not requested at the time of booking, this option must be requested and paid for at least two days in advance. Pool heating can only be requested for the entire length or remainder of your stay. If you would like to add this option, please note this when making your reservation or contact our office during office hours.
**Please note that the pool does not get higher than 75 degrees during the colder months from mid-December through February/mid-March. Also, the weather will affect the pool temperature, and very cold weather may keep the pool from reaching even 75 degrees. We cannot guarantee a specific temperature for any day of your stay. No refunds will be given, including if weather conditions prevent your use of the pool. The pool heater thermostat will be set to 82-84 degrees F.

Some welcomed news in 2024 is The City of Folly Beach will be re-nourishing our beach which is much needed! 
Although not confirmed by the city, work is expected to start around early March until mid-August 2024 and will be focused one block at a time.  While we expect this to be a net positive to everyone (more sand and larger beaches), there is a small chance that your closest beach access point may be impacted during your stay.
The city hasn’t provided any further information on more precise dates, scheduling, or sequencing.   But you can stay informed with the latest by following the below links:

Contactless Check-In: This home offers a KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, and we will provide the code before your arrival date. 
Parking and accessibility: This home can accommodate 4 cars on its paved driveway. Public spaces are available along the street. The house is accessible by stairs inside the enclosed ground floor with a motorized chair lift for the disabled. A stair-climbing 3-wheel dolly is also available for moving your belongings from your car into the house.
We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am.
No pets allowed. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office.

No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy cannot exceed 12 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels, is 100% privacy compliant, and does NOT listen or record. If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowner's business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.
