When a child battles a serious illness at our local hospital, their family stays close by at Ronald McDonald House Charleston. Many spend weeks or months right by their child’s side through treatment and recovery. We invite these families to Folly Beach for a well-deserved reprieve, comfort, and local support.
Through the generosity of our homeowners and our company initiative, we’ve opened our doors to offer completely free accommodations to families enduring a medical crisis. We believe in keeping families together when they need it most, and the Folly community is built around this notion.
How You Can Help: Local Business Partnerships
Our goal has been to surround these families with the warmth of our local community during their stay. Many have already participated, but we are looking for more compassionate local businesses to donate goods, services, or comforts to welcome these sick children and the families who support them.
Ideas for donations include:
• Gift cards to local restaurants or grocery stores.
• Pre-made family meals or catering.
• Local experience tickets or family activities.
• Welcome baskets with snacks and essentials.
