Welcome to The Prickly Pear! This newly renovated (Summer 2024) beach house is back on the market and ready to welcome you! The Prickly Pear can accommodate up to 12 guests, and with 5 spacious bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there is ample room for the whole family! Enjoy an inground pool and seasonal heated spa surrounded by tranquil landscaping and trees. The spa is heated from October-the end of April.  Hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of indoor and outdoor entertainment areas!  The Prickly Pear blends modern design and sun-filled interiors with a beach town's relaxed, fun vibe. Located in a quiet section of the island, only a short and picturesque 2-block walk via a small path to the 3rd Street beach access with public restrooms and outdoor showers. Plus, you're just over 2 blocks from the vibrant Center Street, filled with great options for dining, shopping, and nightlife.

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. The famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25-minute car ride for more historical exploring, offering endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Fall in love with this beautiful island!

POOL NOTICE:
The pool can be heated upon request between October through the end of April, for an additional fee of $70.00/day (added to your reservation after booking). If not requested at the time of booking, this option must be requested and paid for at least two days in advance. Pool heat can only be requested for the entire length or remainder of your stay. If you would like to add this option, do so when making your reservation or contact us during office hours.

**Please note that the pool does not get higher than 80 degrees during the colder months from mid-December through February/mid-March. Also, the pool temperature will be affected by the weather, and freezing weather may keep the pool from reaching even 80 degrees. We cannot guarantee a specific temperature for any day of your stay. No refunds will be given if weather conditions prevent your pool use. The pool heater thermostat will be set to 82-84 degrees F.

You must be at least 25 Years old to rent this home.
Contactless Check-In: This home offers a KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, and we will provide the code before your arrival date. 
Parking is available for up to 5 vehicles (depending on size). 
We do not provide beach equipment or towels, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
Pets considered: Our office must approve all pets before you arrive. Upon approval, a $150 per pet nonrefundable pet fee is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee is paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pets max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees before arrival. 

House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 12 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

We now use noise sensors in our properties to comply with Folly Beach's new strict noise ordinance. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels, is 100% privacy compliant, and does NOT listen or record. If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowner's business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.


The City of Folly Beach has licensed this property as a vacation rental. The business license Account number is LIC042600, and the rental registration is STR24-A0107.
