Out of the Blue is the ultimate single-floor, four-bedroom, three-full-bath Folly Beach oceanfront vacation home. From the moment you walk through the front door, the superb ocean view will take your breath away as it welcomes you to this lovingly maintained residence. The entry opens to a large open-concept kitchen, dining room, and living room. This gorgeous kitchen offers an oversized island and top-of-the-line appliances, including a Sub Zero fridge, a La Cornue gas stove, and a Sub Zero wine refrigerator. The dining area accommodates seating for eight and opens onto the oceanfront deck with an outdoor kitchen.

A large sunroom runs the width of the home between the living room and the well-designed wrap-around deck overlooking the ocean. The deck has a coveted covered space with two sofas, and ample uncovered deck space for sunning and outdoor dining. The brand-new 42-inch outdoor grill is sure to please those who enjoy cooking outside, and the deck’s bar area includes bar seating and a fridge for easy access to refreshments while enjoying the sea breeze. Looking west from the deck, you will enjoy a lovely view of the Folly Pier in the distance and intensely colorful sunsets on many evenings.  The eastern view provides stunning sunrises that never get old!

Down a short staircase off the back deck, step directly onto the powdery sand of Folly Beach. Walk 2+ miles in either direction uninterrupted.

Down the hallway from the living area, the primary bedroom has a lovely ocean view from its king-size bed and a brand-new en-suite bath with double vanity and plenty of storage. Open the primary bedroom windows and fall asleep to the waves rolling ashore. This bedroom also has a generously sized walk-in closet, and for those needing to get a little work done while enjoying Folly, the primary bedroom also offers a full-size desk.

The charming second bedroom with queen size bed has an updated en-suite bath. The third and fourth bedrooms offer another queen bed and a double bed, respectively, and share an updated full bathroom off the hallway with a tub, shower, and 48-inch vanity.

Just far enough from the buzz of Center Street to be a peaceful retreat, Out of the Blue is only a five-minute drive or a leisurely bike ride to downtown Folly when the mood strikes for dining out, live music, or shopping.

Some welcomed news in 2024 is The City of Folly Beach will be re-nourishing our beach which is much needed! 
Although not confirmed by the city, work is expected to start around early March until mid-August 2024 and will be focused one block at a time.  While we expect this to be a net positive to everyone (more sand and larger beaches), there is a small chance there will be construction on the beach and/or beach closures near this home.

Folly Beach has a noise ordinance starting at 10 PM that applies to private residences. Please be mindful of your neighbors. 
Plenty of PARKING is available at the house - two covered tandem spaces in the drive-under, plus additional  parking for several cars and a golf cart in the driveway. 
This is a non-smoking property.
Absolutely NO PETS allowed. Breaking this rule will result in a $1500 per day penalty. Additionally, emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office. 
The house is equipped with a back up generator.
Check-in time: 4 PM; Check-out time: 10 AM.
A 50% payment is required when booking, with the remaining 50% automatically charged to the card on file 30 days before your check-in date. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
You must be at least 25 years old to rent this property.
NO PARTIES allowed. 

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations can be made with a full refund or a 5% penalty if requested at least 60 days before your arrival date. For all other cases, cancellations made after the reservation payment will result in the forfeit of all applied monies unless the property is re-rented and confirmed at the same rate for the canceled dates.

This property has extra security with an externally facing visual only - no sound - security camera. MyOceanRental strives to ensure peace for all of our guests, neighbors, and the community of Folly Beach. To do so, we follow guidelines to ensure you have a peaceful, safe, and memorable stay with us. We now use noise sensors in our properties to comply with Folly Beach's new strict noise ordinance. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels, is 100% privacy compliant, and does NOT listen or record. Suppose the noise level exceeds the legal limit for Folly Beach. In that case, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down to avoid any violations that can result in a $1500/per day fine from the Folly Beach Police Department and significant penalties for the homeowner.

The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am. Each property is listed with the maximum occupancy for the home (number the house sleeps). House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited and will result in immediate eviction with a penalty of up to $1500.  Your contract states that the use of the premises shall not disturb or offend surrounding residents. Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. If you have any questions, please ask.
