Welcome to Driftwood! This stunning three-story home will surpass your expectations. Driftwood boasts 3600 sqft of heated living space with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. This house, SLEEPS 12, is one of our more unique properties with Marsh/River views, a shared dock out to Folly River inlets, and a PRIVATE POOL overlooking it all! Situated on a quiet street on the 6th block of the island's East Side, guests enjoy a short walk to the beach and only 5 block stroll down to Center Street. An inverted floor plan offers 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor, a 4th Bedroom on the 2nd (main) floor, and a 5th suite on the top 3rd floor.  
 
Driftwood features gorgeous hardwood floors throughout the house; a spacious, entertaining kitchen consisting of a wrap-around peninsula with an island that opens up to the dining and living areas. It also includes a gas range, more than enough counter space for preparing meals for family and friends, plenty of seating between kitchen and porch tables, and four additional bar stools off the counter. In addition, enjoy the use of the convenient wet bar and wine cooler for cocktail hour!  There is a small 8'X16" Pool overlooking the marsh and river to relax in as well as a shared (with the next door neighbor) dock out to the Folly River Tidal Inlets where you can fish, crab, put in a kayak or simply enjoy sunsets and beautiful unique natural surrounding the Folly has to offer!

This home showcases 2 OVER-SIZED PORCHES off the Living Room (screened in), and Main Bedroom equipped with beach-themed furniture for relaxing while overlooking the beautiful Folly River views! Additionally, the sunset views from the porches are incredible, and it's what you want to return to after a day at the beach! An open-air outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a pool, and a foosball table are located in an enclosed garage area under the house. Driftwood delivers the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable vacation at the beach.

Downtown Folly Beach offers local shops, markets, live entertainment, bars, and restaurants. Explore a variety of water activities, such as fishing, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, beach combing, dolphin watching and more. Explore the east end of the island where you will find the famous Morris Lighthouse!

We are located just a 25 minute car ride from historic downtown Charleston which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites and more. Additionally, there is a public boat ramp with parking as you enter the beach.

The area is certain to have something for everyone…a beautiful beach, fishing, boating, historical sites, gardens, shopping, golf, kayaking, paddle boarding; the choices are limitless. We know that this is the perfect home for your family vacation!

Announcements
Some welcomed news in 2024 is The City of Folly Beach will be re-nourishing our beach which is much needed! 
Although not confirmed by the city, work is expected to start around early March until mid-August 2024 and will be focused one block at a time.  While we expect this to be a net positive to everyone (more sand and larger beaches), there is a small chance that your closest beach access point may be impacted during your stay.
The city hasn’t provided any further information on more precise dates, scheduling, or sequencing.   But you can stay informed with the latest by following the below links:

Please note that our office does NOT have any more information than what is in these links, and we are not responsible for any beach disruptions caused by the re-nourishment during your stay.

Notes
During your stay you will enjoy the following amenities: complimentary Wi-Fi, AC/Heat, washer and dryer, standard coffee maker, ironing board, all linens & towels (except beach towels). Beach equipment is not provided, but if on the property you are welcome to use it.
Contactless Check-In: This home is equipped with a KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM and a door code will be provided prior to your arrival date. 
There is a charcoal grill available for your use.
No pets. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office.

50% Deposit required at the time of booking, the remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to check-in.

This means we follow guidelines to ensure you have a peaceful, safe and memorable stay with us. In order to comply with Folly Beach's new strict noise ordinance, we now use noise sensors in our properties. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels, is 100% privacy compliant and do NOT listen or record. If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in a $500 fine as well as result in major penalties for the homeowner.

The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am. Each property is listed with the maximum occupancy for the home (number the house sleeps). House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJ’s, etc. are prohibited.  Please remember to be kind and courteous to your neighbors and your contract states that the use of premises shall not disturb or offend surrounding residents. If the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately, without refund. If you have any questions, please ask. We are committed to your comfort and those of our community so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.
