A great cottage for a perfect beach vacation

This cottage was the perfect place for our family of four plus dog. Plenty of space for everyone, a fenced yard, a lovely and spacious screened-in porch, and only one block to the beach! We had everything we needed for a great vacation. The folks at MyOceanRental were very responsive when we had a little trouble with the door code on arrival. Plus they stayed in touch via text message to provide information throughout the week, which was great.

Our vacation at 317 Wes Cooper was fantastic. That home was cozy and quaint and had all the creature comforts of home. Peaceful and quiet and just a hop. Skip and a jump from the beach in just a few blocks down to the restaurants and nightlife and gift shops that Folly Beach has to offer. Will be back again next year for sure

We rented this house for a 5 day trip. My wife, myself and our two dogs. The location is great, very short 2 min walk to the beach and about a 10 min walk into downtown restaurant/bar area. The house was as advertised two nice size bedrooms with all the amenities and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. There is a great dog park about 15-20 min away by car back on James Island. James Island county park well worth the drive for dog people.

Wonderful Fall Week at the Beach

Stone's Throw Cottage was the perfect fall beach retreat for a couple's getaway with our dog. The beach is just around the corner, and we were able to walk to a variety of restaurants. In the four days there, we only got in the car one time, and that was to visit Charleston! I would highly recommend this property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing visit to Folly Beach this past week. The cottage was clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. We easily walked to the beach and into town. The management company was excellent with communication. I was confident if we had any issues, they would be easy to reach. This house was perfect for us. Two comfy king size beds, well stocked kitchen- great hangout spots both inside and on the screened in porch. The house was a close walk to the beach (go to 4th or 5th street for less crowded spots) and also an easy walk to town to the restaurants, bars and cute corner store. We would come back in a heartbeat!

We had a great time at this place. Location was perfect, one block to beach, quiet street, a short walk to town. Met the owners by chance at Surf Bar and super nice young couple who completely redid the place. Screened in porch was great and fenced in yard was nice for our dog lulu. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely recently updated home, steps from the beach. This location was perfect for our morning surf lessons from Isla Surf School. The back porch was fantastic and made us wish we'd booked later/earlier in the year so we could enjoy it more (it's the primary dining space) but it adds a lot of space to the cozy house. Just a quick walk, bike, or golf cart ride to Center Street restaurants and shopping. Host was responsive and home was very clean and well-stocked with basic amenities.

We’ve come to Folly for years and always rented a place from a private owner but wanted to bring our dogs this time so we had to find a pet friendly place. While some renovations at our originally booked house caused us to have to choose another property prior to arriving it ended up being a blessing in disguise. This home was very clean and well appointed and was in a great location - easy access to the beach or to town. Bed was comfortable and screened in porch was a great feature. Nice not to have a bunch of stairs to climb for ourselves or the dogs. The fenced in yard was great, though there were some gaps of boards missing, which we brought to the property management’s attention and they have assured us the problem has been fixed now so shouldn’t be an issue for future stays. This was intended to be a one time stay for us but we enjoyed the place so much that we plan on returning again and again!

I can’t say enough about the wonderful pet friendly home, so cute and clean and close to the beach and town. The booking process was easy and simple!! The house was in a perfect location and could not have been better!! My boyfriend and I thought it was a perfect place for us and our dogs. We were a 2-3 minute walk to the beach and the main drag with shops, restaurants, and bars was about a 5-7 minute walk. It was a quiet, clean home with everything you need. My favorite part is the screened in porch! The only suggestion would be to repair the fencing in backyard in some areas so dogs can’t escape. We have a little mini pin escape artist so we inspected before we let her play. We were able to block off “escape routes” with beach chairs, etc. Lovely place and we’d reserve again!

We loved the proximity to the beach and Central Street. A block from the beach & 5 minute walk to the Lost Dog Cafe! Folly was made for walking and this cottage is in a perfect spot! We enjoy Folly because of its eclectic vibe. This cottage was delightful with its porch and shady fenced in backyard.

The house was clean and nicely decorated. Natalia was an attentive host and responded readily to messages. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. If you’re considering visiting Folly Beach we highly recommend Casa de Dunas!

Great Little Beach House!

What a great little house! You'll have everything you need and the sofas are comfortable, which seems to be a difficult thing to find in smaller beach houses. A very short walk to the beach so you can walk back for lunch, or a break. Close enough to walk to "town" but far enough away so that it's quiet. The closest beach walk is not too crowded. The home has been nicely remodeled with a lovely kitchen and bath, good closet space and a large screened porch for relaxing. I would agree that the beds need headboards so as not to ruin the shades and giving guests a spot to "prop up"...but not a deal breaker, just have to be careful. Would definitely stay there again!

This is perfect for us and our 2 Westie dogs. The yard is fenced in, the porch is screened in, large and great for sitting and relaxing, the beach is a short one block walk. They do a good job of maintaining the property. We did not see a single bug in the house. When we are at Folly Beach we will still here. The best overall place in our 7 vacations here. We stay 2 weeks.

We had a terrific time at Folly Beach. Our accommodations were perfect... just wished we had the time to utilize them to their fullest. We were preparing for our daughter's wedding!!! The space was comfortable, easy access to all activities and best of all quiet and private. I definitely will be returning to your place-Next time it will be for a longer stay. Thank you so much!

My husband, 3 chihuahuas, and I had a wonderful stay at Casa de Dunas! The house is very charming, comfortable, and within a short walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The rental agency was also very responsive and sent several email communications/instructions prior to our arrival.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Folly Beach. Much of that time was spent in our fantastic vacation home. It was just the right size for the two of us and our little dogs. It is a beautiful home and we will definitely look to rent it again. It was a very short (walking) distance to the beach and to Center Street where all the restaurants are. We highly recommend this unit.

This is a lovely rental on Folly Beach, sooooo close to the beach but without the beach prices! My family of four plus our golden retriever stayed here in August and we loved everything about it! The owners have renovated and everything is new and fresh and the decorating is out of a magazine. Every amenity is thought of, the kitchen is well stocked, the sofas are super comfy and the screened in porch and outside shower are a delight. It is literally minutes from the beach and there was a nice selection of beach items as well (wish I had known that before I left home!) My only suggestion is that the back yard could use some work (we tracked in dirt every day) - but I imagine that is in the works since everything else is so well attended to! Don't think twice about renting Casa de Dunas!

This property is perfect for a small family or couple. It is decorated really cute and updated as well. The only draw back was the one bathroom, but we were able to work around that pretty easily. Also, there isn't a dishwasher, but that wouldn't be a deal breaker for us. Overall, I recommend the property and Ocean Rental. We will be back!

Everything was as described! We loved the screened in porch and our two small dogs were safe in the fenced in yard. It is the best place we have stayed in our five trips to Folly Beach. We will be back next year for probably a month.

Our family had such a wonderful, comfortable stay in this adorable cottage. The pictures do not do it justice - it is such an airy and welcoming space with a perfect location. The rental company was amazingly responsive. If our travel plans bring us back to this area, we will definitely stay again!!
